1995 R1100R Owner's Handbook Part Number?

Post by ventoux »

I recently bought a '95 R1100R that didn't come with an owner's manual. I would like to order one but there are two BMW part numbers listed:

01479799317 - Owner's handb. R850-R1100r/Gs, operation. MJ.95, US

01479799907 - Own. handbook R850R/R1100R, operation. US-ENGLISCH

Can anyone tell me the correct one to order or the differences between the two manuals?

Thanks!

The R1100R had a "Dashboard Facelift" in '97, which changed the location of some of the instruments, lights and switches. The 01 47 9 799 907 applies to the later bikes with those changes. I don't know about the other book.

There is also a 01 47 9 799 917, Service and Technical Booklet. It contains a maintenance schedule and some basic service procedures. You really don't need it as the same information, and much more, can be found in a Haynes or Clymer book.
