My socks keep falling down

Post by jrvip1 »

This may be the most ridiculous post ever but if anyone can give good advice - I would really appreciate it (and so would a lot of you I reckon).

So you spend loads of time putting your MC togs on. Hoist your socks up and then boots on. After about 5 minutes on the bike socks are crumpled around my feet and uncomfortable. I'm not going to wear garters or not wear any socks at all so....... any clever clogs out there? :-k [-o<

..... :-k .....Quit buing your socks at the local flee market. Try some higher quality socks. Taller socks that go up over the back of your calf should keep them up but with the wrong material that could get hot in the summer.

I have found these motorcycle sokz to be just perfect for many years of use, staying put around my calve, keeping my feet dry and less stinky on long rides.

You should be able to find them in the UK.

I have a pair that Lost Rider posted and they work well. They have to be tall enough to go over your calf completely (unless you have really skinny chicken legs, in which case, you are out of luck!)

A less expensive alternative I found are some simple tall work boot socks. They also stay up. I pull them up to my knees, put on the boots, then roll them back down to the top of the boots. They stay up also.

Ride on the right side of the road, like us, and after a few minutes you won't even be concerned about your socks.
