Gauge Cluster

Just picked up a 96 and it has the ugly gauges on it. I didnt realize that they came with different ones. Is it easy to fit the other gauge on here? just plug and play?

You mean the instrument cluster? Pre- and post facelift? If I am not mistaken the front wiring harness is different hence some adjustments would be required. Also if you would like to put the post facelift on your bike (supposedly your bike is the pre-facelift version) you also require the holders and mounting accessories.

Have a look at realoem for the parts you need.

Ok so i got bought a set of the face lift gauges off ebay that came with the gauge mount. Now i need the headlight bracket.

Are the headlights the same? or do i need the "facelift" headlight as well?

No idea if the headlight differs as well. Suggest you try once you have all the pieces together.

Besides the instruments/gauges what you need is part 1/2 and 3 seen in the below pic:



And for holding the lamp you'll need part 13 left/right as seen in below pic:



You will probably also need the telltale harness and the pastic symbol covers (part 1 and 4)

Checked my spare parts in Aladins cave ... The only thing I still have is the telltale harness. If you need it I would ask for 15 USD + shipping (would fit in a letter pouch).
