Light switch????
Help. Can I fit a switch so I can turn off my lights.either a std BM one pre lights on all the time days. (not law in UK but no option for customers) or can I fit a switch in the feed somewhere. Also will it harm the alternator if it's not running the lights.. boilling the battery etc??? Thanks for any info. RR

Won't hurt a thing to cut off the lights. It's nice to have the option in case you are limping home on the battery after an alternator failure or riding through a campground at night, or whatever else the safety nazis didn't consider. The voltage regulator makes sure that the battery doesn't overcharge. The BMW factory switch is nice and clean, but expensive. You can also switch the neutral through any toggle switch that can handle 10 amps of current. The easiest place to mount it is in the headlight bucket.ronnierockster wrote:Help.
