Alloy Wheel Damage Repair

Post by RideandDrive »

I crunched my front wheel while riding and I sent it to Woody's Wheel Repair in Denver, CO.

Good as new with quick turnaround. Wheel overhaul was $140. Bmw MSRP for the front rim is $700+

They are also cross spoke wheel specialists who post on http://www.advrider.com regularly.

The repair includes paint and clearcoat.

I hit a 3 inch concrete lip at 55 mph. One of our local homebuidlers decided to do some road modifications with no warnings posted.

What was the damage to your rim? I just returned from a 4 day trip and on day 3, one of those pesky free range rocks ran into my bath and I ended up denting both of my rims, more on this and the ride in another post. I kept control of the bike and chekced the damage. Dent in front on right side, dent in rear on left side. Both kept holding air and all seemed okay. On day 4 of the ride I notice a wobble or more of a bounce in my front tire at low speed. At the next stop I put the bike on the center stand and spun the front tire. Sure enough, that dent had morphed into a flat spot. Had to cut the trip short by a hundred miles or so and nursed the R back home. Does this sound like something they could fix?
