If I understand you correctly:

get HER Majesty on the phone to me - you may be out of jail for the duration of the show ...

... but you will pay for it with all the accrued interest afterwards ... as I am going to promise things on your behalf

:D  :D  :D

nah, not going to any of them, I don't find them interesting anymore.

Any new bikes will be on the road soon enough to see in a dealer, and you don't get the "fantasy" bikes like you do at major car shows.

Me and my better half are going Friday.

I'm going to check out the R1200R and F800 from BMW as well as the 1200S and 1100 Breva from Moto Guzzi, if they are there??

also look for a deal on some new Daytona boots and I also need to check out any deals for some new gloves.

If the weathers okish, going to ride there.

DISAPPOINTED

... I don't mind telling you. Thought sixteen quid was a bit steep (I remember when you used to be able to get a crash helmet, gloves, boots, full leathers, a tank of petrol and still have enough left over for two at the flicks and a takeaway after for that).

Looking for some Daytona boots - just Sidi everywhere though I nearly tried on some Oxtar Infinitys (so GS). BMW stand had no clothing for sale ('offers ... sir?') said the chappie through raised eyebrows (well you know what I mean) when I might have popped for a Rallye Pro suit.

I did have a nice chat with the BikeSafe TD. Anyone done it?

I did try on an Arai Tour X as my Quantum/f will need replacing through age in the not too distant future. The padding in the Tour X seemed thinner or harder - it was as if I could feel the inner shell through it. Any thoughts, anyone, please?

Chipko, couldn't agree more.

Rip off Britain!!

I've writen to MCN to let them know what I thought. If it wasn't for BMW/KTM/Ducati, their wouldn't have been any manufacture representation at the show, and thus, I can't recommend it as a Motorcycle Show. Didn't see anything I was interested in. However I was impressed with the Red Dog Motorcycles stand, htey brought some Victory's, CCM's, Benelli's and MV and a Moto Morini 1200. Got talking to the them, as I've been passed their small shop in Edenbridge a few time, but didn't know that they where that big. They are also agents for Daytona boots, bingo.

The only success of the day, Deb (my much better half) got a nice pair of boots from the girls on the Girls Bike 2 stand. But £32! Not again.

Bike Safe - Great day out, once you get used to riding with a Police bike behind you. The feedback at the debreifings is excellent, so was the lunch! Genuinely - a great day out, it then lead me onto doing the IAM test.
