Recently replaced front rotors and pads.
Was riding my 1997 r1100r with an open face helmet and could hear what sounded
like the brakes engaging when I was stopping. The noise was not very pronounced
but you could hear a contact like noise and a slight vibration in the hand brake.
Any thought????

thanks for infoCommainz wrote:The Ticker Killer works for a limited time, depending on the defect which is really given. Let it tick, replace the throttle body or - having two right hands or a good mechanic - repair it. There are some 'how to do's' available at the internet.

Re: 1997 R1100R Two of the lower bolts on the left side cylinder head cover that tighten the seal on the cylinder head do not tighten any longer consequently I have a leak situation. I believe that the previous owner of the bike had tightened these two lower bolts too tight and may have stripped the...

best tire advice for 1997 r1100r??
I currently have a set of Bridgestone Battlax bt021f 120 and 160 zr17m/c which came with the bike. The bike has 116,000 km on it and the tires seem to have a blank area of approximately 1 inche centre width going around each front and rear. Other than that, they seem to be fine? 1997 R1100R Handle bars and holders
Need assistance. Does anyone have any advice on changing the handle bars and holders on a 1997 R1100R? My bike has heated hand grips and I believe that the wires go through the I.D. of the existing handle bars? I have found a supplier for replacement bar holders and handle bars but I am at a loss of...
