Re: R1200R ... the reason why my next bike will be a KTM!

Why did I bother reading this? The OP did not like the bike, cool. He does not get what BMW was after... Buy why come on this forum and let us know how unworthy the bike is? :smt102 I read this from time to time to get info, not read that gibberish. I am at over 21,000 miles and still loving this bi...

Re: Tires

I ran a Pilot Road on my rear when the Conti Road Attack wore out and kept the conti Road Attack on the front for another 4000 miles. Did not have any issues. As long as they are the correct size I don't see it being a problem unless your are running at the edge of the performance envelope. So you c...

Re: New BMW Tail Bag, plus other farkles

Looks great. :smt023
Do you have the part # of that bag? I don't see it on the website and I would like to look into getting one of those for putting stuff in for commuting so I can take the side cases off. ( I am not a fan of the top case on the R12R).
thanks

Re: Forget About Winter, I'm going to Arkansas!

Another outstanding report! :smt041 I will remind myself to not complain about "cooler" weather here in Virginia... (that we ride in all winter).

Waiting on the rest of the report.

Allen,
My R12R came with the Contis. I switched to the Pilot Roads since that is what the dealer had in stock... Sometimes it is a pain supporting my local shop. But so far I am happy with the performance of the Michelins (or could that just be the great bike?) :)

Here in Virginia I paid 201.52 for the service, better than some... Of course I also needed to replace the Conti Road Attack after 6k miles. So my wallet was another $200 lighter (plus $60 mounting fee!) for a Michelin Pilot Road.
