BMW R1200R R1150R/T F800 K1200R R1100R/T R1250R RnineT Message Board

Has anyone of you been able to compare the original BMW sorts screen with the BMW touring screen, especially on the high way?
Right now I have the touring screen, but I think the sports screen is much nicer. I only wonder whether it makes a big difference in riding long distance.

Seriously Ride the RT, and I'd ride the K1200GT too.. FWIW I think the K1200GT is a better touring bike.... See I'm trying to writing checks from your pocket again :-)) The K1200GT indeed is a good touring machine...... But I think it depends where you prefer to ride: the K1200GT is better straight...

Oops......reading all this enthusiastic feed back about the R1200R........it's my first bike since I only got my bike driving license less than a year ago, but I am afraid I'll be spoiled for the rest of my life!

An octane of 98 is required but I mostly use Shell V-Power, which has an octane of 97 in the Netherlands. Sometimes 98 and very sometimes (rarely) 95. It is expensive anyway, so therefor I'd rather use the best for my "baby" In the Netherlands the price of V-Power 97 is € 1,65 /liter = $ 2...

But after a few weeks I could swap the standard seat for the tall one:

a completely different shape that doesn't work that well with a seat that has a curve upwards in the back like the stock R12R seat. I see......that's why...... :-k I have the tall seat, and as you can see it doesn't have the "curve", so the sport version should be okay for me: http://www....

Unfortunatedly there is quite a price difference between the Airhawk and the Freedom Air in the Netherlands: the Airhawk is 115 euro (170 dollar) and the Freedom Air is 175 euro (260 dollar!!). I complained about the price and now they're willing to give me a discount of 30 euro. So I'm considering...

Maybe I can order it in the States.
