I have the same problem. Dealer replaced fork and 2 cylinder head for me. Someone told me that the problem will appear again....

I think turn the matt black color of my rockster to carbon fibre will be cool. 8)

Where can I buy a carbon fibre tank for R1150R?

Or Should I make it myself?

Do you have experience in making it yourself?

Do you think the following way is practical?

Boxer,

Actually it was not fast when I dropped on the road. I think it is about 50km/h. it is a right turn and my front tire lose traction because of the dry grass. I will try to make it slower next time...

The repair center told me that they don't have confident to fixed the tank as good as new. They cannot make the correct color also...

They told me that the only way is to replace it. It is about US$2300 in my city....

That's expensive. I think that's the reason that most of the riders in my city choose Japanese bikes. I think they can fix the same problem 10 times cheaper than this one...

Well..... I learn a lesson..... I have to ride it very very carefully....

New parts replaced for free

Finally, all the oxdiated parts are replaced at my 30000km service. They are:

1. Cylinder head
2. The lower part of folk
3. brake and clutch fuild cover
