Went to Dallas on April 11 and made the deal and rode 'er home.2002 R1150GS, ABS, heated grips, bar risers, H&B headlight guard, head protectors, throttlemeister and, best of all, those cavernous Jesse side cases. They're HUGE... could fit a small child in those things. The ride home was uneventful, except for that West Texas Wind (GypsyRR, you didn't tell me about that part of Texas) and the motorcyclists on the road were, as always, friendly folk. Coming down off Raton Pass, I stopped for a stretch and 3 riders came up just to admire my new bike. They had just come from Baja. The guy on the R1200GS took my photo before he got his gloves on and went his merry way. BTW, the 3 wives followed in Suburban... all the way from Baja. They were all smiles.
